For most of my career, I have joined and renewed my membership to the ISACA NY Metro‘s professional chapter. I think it’s worthwhile, and an extremely valuable chapter for me – primarily in the networking and continuing education space.
I have been fortunate enough to be voted on ISACA NY Metro’s Board of Directors for the term 2019-2020. I had absolutely no idea what to expect! Our President, Karen Alexander, proposed that I spearhead a new committee dedicated to the young (under 40 yo) and emerging (< 7 years of experience) professionals, and I said yes! I love the idea – building the committee from scratch is a challenge in and of itself.
We’re throwing our 2019 Membership Social and Volunteer Recruitment Event on Wednesday, Sept 25th, at the Battery Gardens, from 6 to 8:30pm. I’ve also created a video introducing the Emerging Professionals Committee. If you’re free – and based out of NYC – come and check us out!
